Welcome to the Bressingham and Fersfield Community Website

by Brenda Webb

The Sports Taster Roadshow was enjoyed by all who attended and the newly refurbished Tennis Court was used and admired. Later in the day we played Netball on the court, which was no mean feat. as a lot of the same people had been playing Rounders earlier, real gluttons for punishment, but that was the fun of it all. People were trying all the various sports - Archery, Petanque, Table Tennis etc, and they all got into the swing of things and threw caution to the wind. I bet there are a few stiff folk around the village today.  At the end of it all it was FREE and folk had a good laugh ... see some photos click here >

We may be doing some Short Mat Bowls as the Coach was unable  to get to us Saturday and I have asked for a Tennis Coach  too - keep watching the website for more information or telephone me on T: 01379 688375.Would anyone be interested in playing some fun Rounders on the playing field or maybe we could go to the meadow at Fersfield? Let me know and I will try and organise something one weekend and iIf that goes well, we could do it during the Summer holidays aswell. Netball is another thing we could do. Bring a picnic and we could challenge the men or the younger members of the villages to a match. Speak to friends and contact me on the above number.

I would like to thank everybody who contributed in any way to the success of the Jumble Sale I held in Bressingham Village Hall on 22nd April and I thought you would like to see the message sent to us from the Alzheimer's Society :

Thank you for your recent donation raised for your taking part in the Lake District 4 Peaks Challenge- it is greatly appreciated by the Society. I can confirm that £436.66 was received on 30/04/2012.

This email acknowledges that we have received your money and is not meant as a full thank you for all the money you have worked so hard to raise from this event. Three months after your event date we will send you a thank you letter and certificate confirming your fundraising total. The money you have raised will help us to continue to lead the fight against dementia.

Best wishes
Victoria Barker, Supporter Care Assistant, Alzheimer's Society
